NotFair is a satellite exhibition that coincides with the biennale Melbourne Art Fair. After its initial success in 2010, the 2012 edition has a touring schedule. 24HR Art is a proud host to the pop-up ‘not’ fair.
Notfair2012’s curatorial title is ‘Primal Mutation’ and reflects the strange shifts and tendencies its curators discovered around the country when compiling the exhibition. ‘Primal Mutation’ presents searing line work, distended bodies, animated visions and lyrical poetics. It is a return to the hand and the craft of art making; a somewhat anti-digital grouping of work, creating a mutated discourse across painting, drawing, installation and photography.
