Ruth Waller – Paintings 2011-12

In her latest series of paintings, presented by Watters Gallery, Waller explores the boundaries of the painting medium. Waller’s practice is an exploration of the act of painting and what it is to create a painting. The works are simultaneously fluid and geometrically vigilant, densely patterned by pixilated ornaments as she explores and borrows styles, techniques and moments from Western and European art history.
