Scott McDougall’s Big Sky explores the hinterland and the rocky landscapes along Tenterfield in northern New South Wales; its constantly changing colours and moods evoke a wide range of emotions in the artist – from awe and wonder to a sense of tranquillity, stating: “The play of light and shadow, the interplay of clouds, and the way the landscape meets the horizon, offers endless inspiration.”
McDougall’s paintings are photo-realistic in style and draw the viewer across the canvas, taking in details that have been carefully considered.
