One of the premier international ceramic art prizes, The Sydney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Award is a biannual exhibition of emerging and established Australian and International ceramicists. Featured in this years display are 2012 winners Michal Fargo, Kirstin Coehlo and Alexandra Standen. The award attracted entries from across Australia, as well as from countries such as the USA, UK, Switzerland, Taiwan and Japan.
Of the award and exhibition, Shepparton Art Museum’s Acting Director Ryan Johnston says; “The sheer volume and high calibre of entries to the 2012 Award is testimony to its national and international importance and we are very excited at the prospect of bringing three major exhibitions of new work by such important artists to Shepparton.”
