This exhibition is the culmination of work from a seven-day trip with six Australian artists travelling in the Mornington Sanctuary in the Central Kimberley. The artists worked with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy research centre to explore 320,668 hectares of protected wilderness.
The resulting exhibition showcases a work by each artist – with sale proceeds of as work by each artist donated to the AWC. The exhibition will host a program of discussions by scientists and artists about their shared experiences from their time in the Kimberley. Each of the participating artists has a deep affinity to the Australian landscape and this exhibition highlights and celebrates this relationship and the unique environment. Exhibiting artists include Elisabeth Cummings, Idris Murphy, Peter Godwin, John Peart, Lucy Culliton and Jason Capobianco.
