Vicky Browne, Simon Reece, Peachey and Mosig: Underground

Blue Mountains-based artists Vicky Browne, Simon Reece, Rachel Peachey and Paul Mosig present new works, which respond to the geological environments of their local and neighbouring regions. Hundreds of gold nuggets made by Browne reflect on subterranean mineral veins or seams in nearby caves and mines. Using local clays and homemade glazes, Reece presents a large-scale escarpment of ceramic tiles, a stand-alone rock shelf, and coal pieces, and Peachey and Mosig reimagine underground landscapes inspired by their collection of rocks, minerals, and field studies.
