Indigenous women artists from the Bundjalung Casino Wake Up Time Group and the Kunwinjku artists from Injalak Arts & Crafts, in Oenpelli, Arhnem Land shared textile techniques and knowledge in weaving, dying and printing as part of a cross-cultural exchange in March this year.
Together and individually they have created a vibrant collection of hand-printed lengths of silk, linen and cotton and intricately woven basketry made from local plant and fibre materials, coloured with natural dyes from the artists respective regions.
