Warren Lane: Continuum

‘Continuum’ features works linked by the themes of human rights, the environment and issues close to home for the artist. Lane’s work falls between Edward Hopper’s detailed renderings of modern American life and Edward Ruscha’s pared back service station paintings, with beautifully structured compositions and use of flattened colour planes.

Lane’s astute illustrative portraits and urban landscapes are skillfully structured compositions that use a high degree of realism. His work is both thought provoking and humorous, inviting the viewer to contemplate the subject matter without pretension or distraction.
