Wilam Biik

In the Woiwurrung language of the Wurundjeri people, Wilam Biik means “Home Country”. This NETS touring exhibition, curated by Stacie Piper, invites visitors to appreciate how First Nations people see, listen, and connect to Country – “the soil, the land, the water, the air, the sky, and the animals residing within” – through new works by contemporary artists from South East Australia: Paola Balla, Deanne Gilson, Kent Morris, Glenda Nicholls, Steven Rhall, Nannette Shaw, Kim Wandin, Lewis Wandin-Bursill, Arika Waulu, and the Djirri Djirri Wurundjeri Women’s Dance Group.
