We experience a chronological recollection that focuses on the parallels and intersection of art and everyday life. Robinson muses on the value of growing a practice over many decades as the pair discuss developments in style, art dealers, curators and exhibitions as well as moving house, raising a large family, teaching and country life. A key-note is Robinson’s connection to landscape, leading to artwork about ‘sensation rather than description.’ This small book is not illustrated but clearly evokes the artist’s aesthetic.
