‘602’ is a new art fair created by select Sydney and Melbourne art dealers, lead by Scott Livesey, along with the City of Melbourne, to revive a former 1955 electricity sub-station at 602 Little Bourke Street. Side stepping the traditional art fair model, ‘602’ will showcase more than 40 Australian and international contemporary artists in this re-purposed urban space.
Charles Nodrum Gallery and Scott Livesey Galleries of Melbourne will join Sydney galleries Martin Browne Contemporary, Michael Reid Sydney + Berlin, Olsen Irwin, Watters Gallery and .M Contemporary to participate in the inaugural event.
The collective of dealers will be presenting new artworks created specifically for the experience and focusing on presenting artists not regularly shown in Melbourne.
