Vibrant, primary colours and exuberant brushwork of Sydney-based Jasper Knight’s practice reveal formative years close to the harbour.
Primarily known as a painter and printmaker, this survey of over twenty years of the artist’s practice includes early sketches leading to recent painted works – many exhibited for the first time. Knight often made works with whatever materials were to hand, with several painted on corflute or cardboard boxes – as with paintings of chairs, which were in one of his first exhibitions.
