Ghost Biologies

‘Ghost Biologies’ exhibits a mix of live-material – sound and photographic-based works that have a conceptual emphasis on human relationships to organic matter or forms, with a particular focus on ideas about lost or untraceable origins. The focus on ‘ghost’ biologies refers to concerns within the works about lost connections to source or host organisms, and the persistence of traces of bio-related material, which either haunts the works as something displaced, or is the subject of evolution or transformation.

Artists include: Cat Hope, Svenja Kratz, Alicia King, Sally Ann McIntyre and Lynne Roberts-Goodwin. Curated by Eliza Burke for the CAT Curatorial Mentorship.
