Moorina Bonini and Pierra Van Sparkes come together to present ‘Taking it Blak’, an exhibition which responds to the contested site the Centre for Contemporary Photography occupies – unceded lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation.
Bonini is a proud Yorta Yorta and Woiwurrung woman with Italian heritage and Van Sparkes is a Kulin country-based Pibbulman artist. The two early career practitioners work in photography and video installation referencing their personal and cultural histories.
