A Window on Italy – the Corsini Collection: Masterpieces from Florence

‘A Window on Italy – the Corsini Collection: Masterpieces from Florence’ will be on view at the Art Gallery of Western Australia from 24 February to 18 June. Preserved through the centuries, having survived the threat of war and flood, this selection of works has never left Italy nor presented in a touring exhibition, until now. Explore Florentine life through Renaissance and Baroque paintings by Italian artists such as Botticelli, Tintoretto, Caravaggio and Pontormo, as well as decorative objects and furniture from the Palazzo Corsini.

The showcase opens with ‘A Florentine Festival’ on 24 February at 10am along with a series of visitor programs that include curator talks, opera performances, Renaissance dance, Italian jazz, wine and, of course, pasta.
