‘Art Month Sydney’ is a city-wide festival that celebrates contemporary art, artists and galleries through a rich and diverse program of exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, artist studio visits, tours, precinct nights, parties and more from 4 to 28 March.
Highlights include Art at Night, leading patrons on a journey through key Sydney art precincts each Saturday; informal talks and tips on art collecting with curators; discussions on sustainability in the sector; and, for the first time ever, the festival will open in the west, starting with an Art at Night event in Parramatta. Sam Martin presents a series of dense pieces, each with varying degrees of paint and embroidery at STATION until 13 March while Cooee Art present its annual Women Artists exhibition, ‘We Choose to Challenge’; just a taste of what to expect at this year’s festival.
