Association of Sculptors of Victoria| Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show

Todd Stuart, Dreamtime   Michelle Day, Mosaic Turtle

For twenty years the Association of Sculptors of Victoria (ASV) has organised a sculpture competition and exhibition as a major adjunct to the annual Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS), which is attended by more than 120,000 visitors during its five-day event.

Regarded as one of the largest sculpture exhibitions in Victoria, and most successful horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere, the Show takes place in the beautiful World Heritage listed Carlton Gardens in the Central Boulevard. Professional curator/award-winning sculptor Mark Cowie will showcase the ASV’s vibrant display of 110 sculptures in a variety of mediums and sizes, passionately created by 70 emerging, semi-professional to highly-regarded sculptors.

Prize money of $1000 and $250 will be awarded in each of the three prize categories; Carved work (any medium), Formed work (mouldings, ceramics, mosaics, castings etc), and Fabrications (installations, welded steel, mixed media, etc). A People’s Choice Award of $500 will also be awarded.
