Bare: Degrees of undress

Celebrating birthday suits, the National Portrait Gallery presents, ‘Bare: Degrees of undress’ a collection of Australian portraiture that flashes a bit of skin. With the central theme of the varying shades of nakedness it draws photographs from its collection that consider the subtle difference between the naked, the nude, dressed and undressed. The photographs are a mix of candid, natural, sexy, contrived and cover a wide range of well-known Australians like Germaine Greer, Dame Edna Everage, Matthew Mitcham, David Gulpilil, Dave Graney and many more.
