Applications are now open for the 2013 BEAMS Festival – a cross-disciplinary, community-driven arts festival that showcases work by local artists, musicians and performers and celebrates the creativity of Sydney’s inner west.
Held in the buzzing creative precinct of Sydney’s Chippendale on Saturday 21 September, BEAMS festival includes exhibitions, installations, talks, workshops, performances, dance, live theatre, music and art, video and light projection can be spotted throughout the precinct’s lane ways. Curated by the Festival’s committee, BEAMS 2013 is calling for Concept Proposals that respond to this year’s Creative Brief.
Applications are open to artists, musicians, and performers – or anyone with a great idea. ‘Revitalisation’ and ‘New World Cities’ are the themes of this years festival – BEAMS aims to collectively re-image the future. What will the future look like? What role will technology play? BEAMS will be sure to create moments of discovery, challenge creative processes, and bring magic, wonder and a new light to the streets of Chippendale.
