Beck Wheeler’s colourful Neo-tribal series, Gone Bush, blends European folklore with myths and legends from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Colour palettes are reminiscent of 1970’s European childrens books whilst the pattern making takes inspiration from Maori, Pacific Island and Indigenious Australian art.
