Using the background of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, this Adelaide Contemporary Experimental exhibition features Brad Darkson’s commissioned mixed media project, Ruled Me, Ruled Me, Ruled Me.
Made in consultation with Ngangki Burka, Senior Kaurna woman Aunty Lynette Crocker and Uncle Moogy Sumner, and using sound, sculpture, and digital collage with material from the Museum’s living collection, the work is a collaborative act of resistance – highlighting the ongoing impact of colonisation, not only on First Nations people but also the plants and animals that live on Country.
