Distilling moments through paint is how Bridie Gillman describes her recent, and evolving, relationship with colour and time. These new paintings on view at Edwina Corlette are a result of a residency in Bali, Indonesia.
The artist shares, ‘Each of my paintings are based on different observations I saw while out on rides or walks every morning and afternoon around the Kedewatan area, just north of Ubud. I’d return to the studio and write down little notes of observations, moments.’
