Over four days and nights the township of Kandos, nestled at the base of Combamolang (Coombermelon) Mountain in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, will welcome over 60 artists for ‘Cementa19’.
From 21 to 24 November, across 20 venues, the program of performance, sound, cabaret, interactive and electronic art, video, photography and installation will transform the region and encourage audiences to explore culture and language, the environment and climate change, as well as stories of growing up in Australia from diverse cultural and social perspectives.
Alongside several initiatives and larger projects developed between regional communities and artists, festival goers will see meteors, fireworks, melting sculptures, burning mountains, historical mobiles, industrial ice cream, musical vehicles, a thundering fort and more.
