The CUT N POLISH: Artist Car Boot Sale returns to Carriageworks’ Blacksmiths’ Workshop in Eveleigh, Sydney, on Sunday 7 May 2023, from 11am–4pm. Organised by artists Consuelo Cavaniglia, Jonny Niesche and Brendan Van Hek, this year’s edition features over 140 artists and collectives from Greater Sydney, such as Zanny Begg, Barbara Campbell and Helen Grace, Lara Merrett and Hugh Stewart, Studio A, and Shirlow St Studios (William Cooke, Fernando do Campo, Emma Fielden, Stevie Fieldsend, Victoria Hempstead, Emily Parsons-Lord, Philjames, and Shan Turner-Carroll).

The informal nature of the event allows artists to connect directly with the public, selling new works, pieces from their back catalogue, collaborations, and side projects in a “cash and carry” market model, with all sale proceeds going directly to the artists.
