For almost 30 years David Hawley has investigated the process of making art, particularly in relation to abstract painting. This exhibition showcases the artist’s latest expansion of the medium and his experiments in movement; ‘After days of preparation, multiple works are made during one brief painting session. Intuitive method increases the scope of possibility as things considered external to painting may be internalised into its systems. There is a movement of what painting is and what it may become.’
