Eveline Kotai: Breathing Pattern

For some 16 years (in four decades of practice) Eveline Kotai has been perfecting a poetic aesthetic of material dissolution and regeneration. This is achieved by recalibrating past works into a new iteration. She cuts her paintings into thin strips, which are sown together with invisible thread. This changeable field anchors us to the present and reveals the potential of new beginnings, ultimately reflecting on the underlying cycles of the natural and our internal worlds.
