For fifty years, this acquisitive national contemporary prize has celebrated artists working in any medium or theme from across the country. Over the years, the biennial art competition, coordinated by the Alice Springs Art Foundation and attracting hundreds of entries each iteration, has become significant in its contribution to one of the largest regional collections of Australian art, which includes video, textiles, photography, screen prints and mixed media work.
View the works of sixty-three finalists, including this year’s winner, selected by artist, critic and curator Dr Daniel Mudie Cunningham.
