undo the day

Focusing on the human response to move towards light when in darkness, undo the day explores the visceral ways we lose, search and discover ourselves in times of change, only to have love, hope or desire bloom again in new forms, perhaps outside of the bounds we once defined for ourselves.

The ground floor gallery creates a feeling of darkness with minimal, abstract and reflective works that play with techniques of distortion and blur. Upstairs, audiences enter a space filled with works that embrace light, colour and figuration.

Artists includeKaren Black, Nathan Hawkes, Irene Hanenbergh, Ruth Hutchinson, Nabilah Nordin, Mel O’Callaghan, Tom Polo, Ronan Pirozzi, Jodie Whalen, and Coen Young. Guest curated by Gina Mobayed.
