Clara Adolphs: Together Again

Together Again features new and existing artworks that track the compositional shift of Clara Adolphs’ practice over the past decade. With reference to abandoned photographs, some personal and many found, Adolphs explores the concept of time and memory, drawing on our fascination with what remains after a moment has passed.

Images of ski resorts, family holidays, and summer pools represent a past that seems more innocent and elegant of simple pleasures. Adolphs’ paintings reconnect us to this time; the nostalgic atmosphere in the work now becomes one of vitality and immediacy.
