Elizabeth Blair Barber: A Life Amongst Painters

Elizabeth Blair Barber, aka Betty Bunning, lived a life of movement; travelling the world, exploring the southwest of Western Australia, and immersing herself in the social and aesthetic fabric of Perth’s artistic community. A gifted and prolific painter, Blair Barber captured these experiences over an eighty-year period with her own individual style of layered and expressive brushwork.

Curated by Connie Petrillo, this exhibition presents around 200 works – from a small sketch completed in 1925 to paintings from the 1940s and ‘50s, to floral arrangements painted in her final years.
