Nicholas Astanei is a cross-disciplinary image/filmmaker and designer who traverses diverse landscapes, industries and everyday life in its raw, unguarded form.
In this exhibition, his prints showcase scenes – at a glance – deeply simple, yet deeply personal and universally relatable. The images are set against the backdrop of Australian suburbia as well as other travels, offering us a glimpse into the moments that define our existence, where individuals come to congregate, drift apart and find their place within the larger fabric of community – Astanei finding meaning in multifaceted human relationships.
