Since its inception in 2010, the Chippendale Creative Precinct (CCP), which has rebranded to Destination Chippendale, has operated as a non-profit organisation with the primary goal of promoting the Chippendale area in Sydney’s inner suburbs as a vibrant, innovative and thriving creative hub. A central point of creative agencies, production houses, art galleries, cafes, bars, and eateries, the Chippendale precinct continually appears at the forefront of peoples’ minds as a cultural and lifestyle destination.
In April the Destination Chippendale: The Creative Heart of Sydney is inviting you to the installment of ‘Explore Chippendale Free Gallery Walking Tour’. The tour maps out Sydney’s most creative terrain in a vibrant cartography which can be downloaded on the CCP website. On Saturday 9 April, participants are asked to muster at Kensington Contemporary, 32/34 Kensington Street and prepare themselves for a day of observation and exploration of Chippendale and its surrounding areas. Destination Chippendale’s professional arts curator, Susannah Smith will lead the tour guiding you around four places of interest which include:
– Kensington Contemporary
– Spot81
– The Japan Foundation
– aMBUSH Gallery
