Brisbane-based artist Si Yi Shen uses digital collage and sculptural forms to explore belonging, identity, and life between cultural worlds.
Deconstructing and reassembling fragments – 3D scans, audio, emojis, digital snippets, images, and text – into layered works that blur the boundaries between imagination and reality, notions of place, personal journeys, and shifting views are drawn on. A mix of ideas and materials, viewers are invited to reflect on the changing nature of identity and spaces we move through, both digital and physical.
