The Fauvette Loureiro Memorial Scholarship Exhibition presents the work of Jesse Hogan, winner of the $30,000 mid-career/established scholarship; Kate McGuinness, winner of the $10,000 emerging scholarship; and of the finalists: Barbara Campbell, Cybele Cox, Lucas Davidson, and Tim Silver for mid-career/established, and Jennifer van Ratingen, Remi Siciliano, and Sophie Penkethman-Young for emerging.
Hogan’s work, Classroom Ecologies, comprises architectural models and installations to evoke and reimagine memories of educational spaces he has inhabited, while McGuinness’ twenty-minute multi-screen video installation, North Land, documents the accidental poetry and life inside Australian shopping centres.
