‘Blood on Silk: Last Seen’ is a large-scale artwork by artist Fiona Davies reflecting on medicalised dying in intensive care units (ICU), presented as the first work for the inaugural Turbine Hall Commission.
Sheer swathes of handmade silk paper with still and moving images projected over the surfaces drop from the high beams of the Turbine Hall – an impressive 800 square metres of material extending across the entire expanse of the space replicates five ICU rooms.
