This $30,000 acquisitive award aims to showcase the best in Australian contemporary painting with work from 36 emerging and leading artists including; Natasha Bieniek, Amber Boardman, Yvette Coppersmith, Emily Ferretti, Patrick Francis, Gregory Hodge, Anna Kristensen, Laith McGregor, Fiona McMonagle and Andrew Browne. Browne has won with his piece The awakening (2017), judged by esteemed curators Lisa Sullivan of Geelong Gallery, Justin Paton from the Art Gallery of New South Wales and Director of Shepparton Art Museum, Rebecca Coates.
