Mona is nothing if not rebellious; eschewing the traditional model for mounting and presenting a show to the public, they have been introducing new commissioned, loaned works and collection pieces into the gallery space as a meditation on the power and limitations of human attention. This display is inspired by the book ‘The Invisible Gorilla: And Other Ways Our Intuition Deceives Us’ by cognitive psychologists Christopher Chabris and Daniel Simons, who have co-curated the exhibition alongside Mona’s Pippa Mott, Jane Clark, Nicole Durling.
