In Shades of Shadows, glass artist Hannah Gason continues her exploration of light and its ability to articulate and create an illusion of space.
Working with the interaction of light and architectural forms, Gason looks to the work of pioneer abstractionist Frank Hinder. Her new work engages viewers through the transformative and illusionary effects of light and shadow when glass is added to the mix, much like the shifting shades and textures of the gold glass-mosaic tiled columns designed by Hinder that frame CMAG and border Civic Square.
