Australia’s top graduates bring together a show of spontaneity and flair, where medium, form and subject are tested and pushed experimentally. The traditional is questioned and teased, stretching limits of ceramics, painting, printmaking and photography.
Returning for its 23rd year, the show lets no social paradigm go unscathed, rather questions of our time: futility and failure, truth, memory and identity, are tackled with fresh vivacity. The only national survey of its kind, it features 34 of the most promising artists fresh out of art school, this is a snapshot of the next generation of contemporary artists and the directions that art practice may take.
