In his eleventh solo exhibition, and debut show with 19 KAREN, ‘Distant Screams’ sees Owen reflect on topical issues permeating mainstream popular culture.
He synthesises figures with objects. Through his distinctive abstract style, he elucidates themes of celebrity culture, reality TV, the world economy and global warming. Owen refuses to be constrained by aesthetic parameters, working across various styles and media to produce quirky, dynamic works that are visually striking.
