This exhibition incorporates pieces from the 1980s to the present, highlighting the varied practice of Banksmith and illustrating the journey towards his current sculptural reliefs. This exhibition not only demonstrates Banksmith’s technical ability using different mediums but also shows an interconnection and cohesive resolution within the artworks spanning 30 years.
Biomorphic abstraction, surrealistic, expressionistic, minimalist and linear methods have been employed that manifest into the present incarnation, namely 3D sculptural reliefs.
