The distinct painting styles of emerging artists Ian Williams and Ellen Norrish explore virtual landscapes and the complexities of our presence in a technological environment where hand-held devices provide instant platforms to share what is around us.
Investigating the blurred boundaries of our physical and digital worlds, the artists aim to draw the viewer’s gaze to a new realm – a reflective space between two realities. Norrish interprets incidental images of place from Instagram posts, while Williams investigates gaming objects in still life painting.
