Talia Smith has conceptualised this exhibition drawn from the collection of Artbank and works on loan, as part of their new Emerging Curators program. With photo and video practices Smith explores the ongoing impact of human action on the planet, with particular reference to the delusion of disassociating from our role in its suffering. Smith has chosen works by Tarik Ahlip, Julie Gough, Maria Kontis, Spence Messih, Sarah Mosca, Phuong Ngo, Nabilah Nordin, Angela Tiatia and Shannon Te Ao, to name a few.
