“Two very different environments inspired the paintings in this exhibition. One being a residency at the Haefliger’s cottage in Hill End where I made paintings about the landscape reflected in and through the windows of the cottage; the other was inspired by a time spent in and around inner city Melbourne, exploring the river, the docks and alley ways. Both bodies of work are a result of a direct response to my immediate environment.” – Joanna Logue
