Joanne Currie Nalingu: It Flows

It Flows presents twenty new works that consolidate Joanne Currie Nalingu’s longstanding ideas of water as a universal life source via a powerful yet peaceful linear treatment of reduced, contemplative designs.

The exhibition includes Drift and meander, 2022, Nalingu’s major multi-panel painting which measures over six metres in length, wrapping the corner wall of the mezzanine gallery. Alongside this are new paintings reminiscent of evening light glowing through the artist’s signature river lines and a collection of highly coloured paintings featuring Maranoa shield motifs and Gungarri language.
