Justin McShane’s solo show features a collection of Chine-collé photo etchings that reveal the moody silhouettes of trees consumed by an overcast sky. The eerie character of the works, evoke a half-forgotten memory during twilight hours deep in the woods.
He explained, ‘Searching through boxes of my photographs I was particularly drawn to those of trees… They can show resilience in the face of adversity, determined patience in fulfilling a purpose, adaptability, a calm stillness.’
