JXSH MVIR: Forever I Live is a retrospective exhibition of artworks by the late Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta and Barkindji artist Josh Muir (1991–2022).
Muir’s artworks are characterised by a vibrant use of colour and geometric patterning across a range of media, including painting, digital prints on aluminium, neon, animated video works, and augmented reality experiences. Each artwork showcases the artist’s love of family and community and draws on a range of themes, including cultural identity, the impacts and legacies of colonisation, mental health, addiction, personal loss, and grief.
