Kathryn Ryan’s latest exhibition offers a visual history of the journey her studio practice has taken over the past twenty years. Throughout it all, her fascination with landscapes and exploring light and shadow have been at the center of her work, whether it’s the landscapes of South West Victoria, Scotland in the snow, or a windswept cypress, standing alone, amongst farm land. Ryan’s moody work has a cinematic feel that captures the dance between nature and light.
