In a collaborative reflection on the quiet beauty found in the everyday, The Poetry of Things brings together two distinct glass practices.
Through still life compositions of familiar objects such as brushes, cloths, peaches and tin cans, Canberra-based artists Kirstie Rea and Annette Blair draw attention to what is often overlooked, worn-in, or set aside; these forms – rendered in glass alongside found elements – holding a tension between delicacy and weight, fragility and permanence.
