Locust Jones assesses the ongoing drama and noise that surrounds us and makes us question how much we are still paying attention to the small and large events that are relevant one minute and forgotten about the next.
Featuring large papier mâché installations, drawings, lithographs, and ceramics, this exhibition presents an extensive response to society’s constant saturation of headlines and short-lived news images. Jones trawls through newspaper images, headlines and news articles, piling up imagery and language to depict and illuminate the chaos, death, famines, wars and political upheaval in today’s world.
